The workbook and study guide is designed to complement the fourth edition
of the textbook, Clinical Chemistry: Theory, Correlation and
Analysis, 4th edition. It emphasizes the core concepts or
principles of clinical chemistry. The workbook is oriented to the practical
aspects of laboratory science by trying to instruct students to think like
medical technologists. The material covered in this workbook reflects the body
of knowledge usually required for national certification of medical
technologists and medical laboratory technicians. The workbook integrates three
different teaching tools: laboratory experiments, case histories, and review
questions.
This infobase contains 36 laboratory experiments, 52 case
histories, and more than 700 questions and answers about clinical chemistry. The
answers are not provided on the disk. The reader is referred to the place in the
textbook that reviews the information required for the answer.
