This program will focus on the essential knowledge required for discovery of viable biomarkers of human disease and the transition of those markers from R&D to clinical use. Topics to be presented include new and emerging proteomic technologies; proteomics-focused initiatives from NCI and NHLBI; regulatory of new proteomic devices in the U.S.; and issues in applied clinical proteomics.

This is a "must attend" event for laboratory directors, administrators and managers; anyone engaged in biomarker research and development; laboratory consultants; diagnostic manufacturers; pharmaceutical scientists; and other individuals interested in proteomics or translational medicine.

The program was developed in cooperation with AACC's Proteomics & Molecular Pathology Divisions; The National Cancer Institute; and The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
